Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead release trailer for zombie-heist film

Zack Snyder is back again after the March release of his director’s cut of Justice League with the first full-length trailer for his upcoming zombie-heist film Army Of The Dead.

Guardians Of The Galaxy star Dave Bautista leads an enormous ensemble cast featuring comedian Tig Notaro and Power star Omari Hardwick as he accepts a death-defying mission steal the riches of Las Vegas, which haws been overrunning by flesh-eating zombies.

The trailer suggests Netflix‘s Army Of The Dead will be comfortable territory for Snyder, who first made a name for himself with his critically acclaimed Dawn Of The Dead remake in 2004.

The trailer opens to reveal that Scott Ward (Bautista) is a cook at a dusty roadside diner out west.

He gets an unexpected visit from Hunter Bly (Hiroyuki Sanada), who seems to know him. 

‘Mr. Ward, how would you like to make $50 million?’ he asks as they take a break at a table.

A quick montage shows Ward debating taking the mission as he looks over his old medals from his military service and sheds a few tears.

But he doesn’t hesitate too long and starts flipping through blueprints and getting his guns out of storage to prepare for a heist. 

Ward begins to assemble a team of former colleagues, including Vanderohe (Hardwick) and Marianne Peters (Notaro).

He’s seen having a heart-to-heart with his old friends, 파라오카지노 talking about all the sacrifices they made in the military.

‘But what if, just once, we did something for 파라오카지노 us?’ he suggests.

According to Bly, the team have a 32-hour window to steal $200 million from the vault of one of the casinos on the Strip.

‘This should be a simple in-and-out,’ he says reassuringly. 

It turns out Bly has been underselling the danger, as Vegas is overrun by a horde of zombified residents.

Like Snyder’s Dawn Of The Dead, these are fast and capable zombies, not the slow-walking undead of the original Night Of The Living Dead.

‘They’re not what you think they are,’ says Lily (Laura Arnezeder).

‘They’re smarter.

They’re faster. They’re organized,’ she says over a montage of the zombies working together, with one couple even kissing, suggesting they haven’t completely left their humanity behind. 

The trailer climaxes with an intense firefight between the soldiers and the seemingly unarmed army of the dead.

The soldiers use everything from guns to a handheld concrete saw to blowup and hack at the zombies, even though seemingly the entire population of Las Vegas is against them.

Things seem even worse for the stranded thieves when a rotting zombie tiger jumps on a car and lets out a cinematic roar.

‘That’s crossing the line,’ jokes Garret Dillahunt’s character character Frank Peters.

Army Of The Dead will be released in select theaters starting in May and on Netflix starting May 21.
